Video: Welcoming Afghans to Canada

What we’ve done

We’ve resettled over 40,000 refugees and some of the most vulnerable Afghans in Canada through several special measures and programs.

What happens now

We’ll continue to process the existing applications we’ve received through all the special programs for Afghans on a priority basis.

Under the Special Immigration Measures Program, we’ve received enough referrals to meet our goal of welcoming 18,000 Afghans.

To apply under this program you must first be referred to us by Global Affairs Canada or National Defence, and then receive an invitation to apply from us.

If you’re already applied
